CNOOC Plans US$200,000 Donation For Hurricane Katrina Victims
The China National Offshore Oil Corporation (CNOOC), China's largest offshore oil producer, says it will donate RMB1.6 million (about US$200,000) to U.S. hurricane Katrina victims.
CNOOC says they hope the money can help the victims recover their normal lives and rebuild their homes.
According to the company, it has contacted the afflicted area and will send the donation to the victims as soon as possible.
