Following Kathmandu's martial law order, China's Ministry of Foreign Affairs has reminded its citizens in Nepal to take measures for self-protection and suggests they leave Nepal as soon as possible.

Meanwhile, the China National Tourism Administration (CNTA) has also notified Chinese citizens to postpone their trips to Nepal.

As a trip to Nepal is usually priced at RMB7000-8000, which is a relatively high price for the Southeast Asia travel market, Nepal has not been a hot travel spot for Chinese citizens.

According to local media, most of the travel agencies in China say that they have no plans for organizing travel groups to Nepal in near future.
