Migrant Workers' Children Get Equal Education In Baoding
In answer to the Chinese central government's call for solving migrant workers' difficulty in enrolling their children in schools, Baoding Municipal Government has worked out a new rule to ensure that the children of migrant workers can enjoy the same educational treatment with that of city residents.
The new rule, called "Students Enrolling for Compulsory Education Period 2006″, stipulates that the children of migrant workers should receive education on an equal basis with that of city or township residents.
The rule states that children of migrant workers should be enrolled into schools near their homes and be treated in the same manner with that of city residents.
