The days of free perks for employees from the energy sector in Hebei Province will come to an end on July 1.
According to Hebei Energy Saving Rule, which will be enacted on July 1, energy manufacturing enterprises must not provide electricity, gas, or power for its employees or other users for free or at discounted prices. Those that break the rule will face punishments. The rule says that all consumers must be given equal access to all rates and fee specials.
The Hebei Provincial Development and Reform Commission is also arranging a special supervisory organization for energy saving activities.
Employees in the electricity, coal, natural gas and coal mine sectors are affected.
