Baidu Works With eBay Eachnet To Support Drought Area
Chinese search engine Baidu.com has joined hands with Chinese online auction website eBay Eachnet on launching an auction activity in support of the drought region in the western part of China.
The activity which is entitled "Swan Love Auction Action" will sell about 110 "Swan" CDs donated by last year's Super Girl Zhou Bichang and all the proceeds from the auction will go to Mother Well, a charity program represented by Zhou which is intended to support mothers in the western part of China where there is drought.
This is the first phase of a series of charity activities to be organized by Baidu. Liang Dong, vice president of Baidu, says that his company will incorporate future corporate social responsibility actions in their business.
Chen Jianhao, a VP from eBay Eachnet's Marketing Department, says that eBay Eachnet has long been concerned with China's social welfare.
