Beijing Plans Various Pollution Monitoring Systems
The Beijing Environmental Protection Bureau announced that systems will be established this year to remedy both problems of water quality and noise pollution.
Beijing plans to build 10 automatic pump stations to test water quality and 26 monitoring stations around Beijing to gauge noise pollution.
As for pollution caused by vehicle exhaust, a system will also be arranged on 29 sections of road in Beijing, primarily on the Second, Third, Fourth Ring Roads and the Badaling Expressway.
The Beijing Environmental Protection Bureau says all the data will be integrated immediately into its software systems so that the agency can have constant information to aid in finding pollution hotspots.
