Nanjing Kindergartens Charge New Fees
From September 1, public kindergartens in Nanjing are going to implement new student fees.
Under the new standard, the annual average fee charged by kindergartens will be about RMB3000 to RMB4000 per child, which research shows should be within the means of most parents.
With the implementation of this new standard, parents only need to pay for their children's care and education expenses at the kindergartens. This is not a decrease from previous years, but now parents do not have to pay ancillary fees such as "sponsorship" costs.
A representative from the Nanjing Pricing Bureau says that this new standard was formed after viewing results of three years of research.
