New Pollution Measures For Electronics Soon Released
China's Ministry of Information Industry will soon issue three new rules requiring all IT enterprises to post a notice about pollution control and prevention on all their electronic products.
The three rules are called "Requirement on the Sign of Pollution Control on Electronic and Information Products", "Requirement on the Limits of Toxins Used for Electronic Products" and "Measures on Testing Toxins in Electronic Products", and they are currently being reviewed.
According to the new rules, all electronic products sold in China must contain a pollution prevention sticker and indicate whether there are poisonous materials or elements in the product.
In addition, they must be affixed with other signs, such as a sign showing the terms for safe use, and a sign showing whether the product can be recycled.
