Anhui Project Hope Provides Funds To College Students

Anhui Project Hope says it has accepted pledges of donations totaling RMB8,530,000 since it began its study-aid action at the end of July.

More than 3400 underprivileged college students will receive these funds to complete their college study.

Jointly organized by the publicity department of the Anhui Provincial Government, Anhui Youth Foundation, and Anhui Youth Federation, the group says contributions have come from all sorts of people and businesses. Cao Yong, director of the Anhui Project Hope Office, says that the office has actually already received RMB2,190,000, most of which is from individuals.

The Anhui Project Hope office says since 2001 it has received donations of more than RMB13 million to support underprivileged college students in the province.
