NDRC Will Check Prices For October Holiday
China's National Development and Reform Commission has issued a circular, deploying workers to check prices during the upcoming National Day holiday.
They will particularly check prices of mooncakse, transportation, tickets to scenic spots, and shopping mall promotions during the holiday.
During the holiday, the circular says pricing departments shall arrange special staff to be on duty to receive consumers' inquiries and complaints.
NDRC requires that local pricing departments at various levels keep a close watch on the price trends and strengthen the supervision and analysis of market demand and price changes during the holiday with emphasis given to transportation, travel and medical services so as to maintain normal market order.
