GAPP: Computer Game Addiction System Will Be Installed This Year

China's General Administration of Press and Publication says that its computer game anti-addiction system will be formally launched around China by the end of 2006.
According to the "Anti-Addiction System Development Standard (Trial Issue)" released by GAPP, each game operator may also develop their own anti-addiction system based on this standard.
Kou Xiaowei, a deputy director from GAPP, disclosed that the trial operation of the anti-addiction system has reached its expected results after seven companies tested it for six months. He said that GAPP is currently working on a detailed measure on how to implement this compulsory system.
