ACFTU Urges Foreign Companies To Establish Labor Unions In China

The All China Federation of Trade Unions says that it will actively push foreign companies, including Kodak, Dell and Foxconn, that have businesses in China to speed up their establishment of labor unions in the country.
Guo Wencai, a minister from ACFTU, says that there are about 90000 foreign companies in China, of which more than 300 have set up a labor unions within their respective companies.
Guo says that they will try to have 60% of the foreign companies set up their trade union in China by the end of this year.
At present, millions of Chinese are working for foreign companies in China, but most of them have not been included in China's Labor Union system.

Hi.
I am a Canadian working in Shanghai. I work for a company which is owned, in partnership, by both Chinese and non-Chinese.
This compoany has made some bad financial decisions which they are attempting to hide by using the Global Crisis as an excuse for their poor performance. Recently this company has broken contract with its Chinese and non-Chinese workers on three separate occassions. Just today this company has notified all staff, Chinese and non-Chinese, that we will only recieve 25% of our salary this month.
Who do we speak to so as to receive some protection from these actions?
