Beijing Municipal Industry and Commerce Bureau says the advertisement for an eye care product named "Eye Nurse", which was promoted by CCTV host Wen Qing, has been misleading consumers.

According to BMICB, the medical instrument, which is said to be a wonderful tool to treat shortsighted patients, contains many non-scientific assertions. The advertisement says that many eye-protection centers have sold it, and these assertions violate rules for advertising medical treatment tools.

BMICB says it will punish the manufacturer according to the relevant advertising laws, and Wen Qing will not face any consequences.

Eye Nurse is a product of Hebei Road Medical Devices Company.
