IKEA Warns Customers Not To Be Cheated By Fake Lucky Draw
Home furnishing retailer IKEA has issued an announcement on its website reminding consumers not to be cheated by false advertisers who promote a false IKEA lucky draw.
Local media reports that a consumer surnamed Gao has received a letter advertising the opening of IKEA Kunming store and saying that Gao's company has won a prize of RMB580,000 in a lucky draw. When Gao checked with IKEA, he was told that there was no such lucky draw arranged.
According to an IKEA representative, the company has no store in Kunming and has not organized any lucky draw activities there. However, the company has received a lot of reports recently from consumers confirming with them about the prize they supposedly won.
IKEA says it currently has four stores in China, which are respectively located in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and Chengdu ,and it asks consumers to ignore any notice for them to claim a prize organized by IKEA.
