Nestle has received a notice from the Food and Drug Administration in the United States that the product labeling might be incorrect on its Good Start Infant Formula, but the company says the product hasn't been sold in China.

The warning letter was sent out by the FDA on November 27, saying that the nutrient levels for calcium and phosphorus were less than what is declared on the label. FDA requires that Nestle take measures soon to ensure that it's in compliance with all requirements of the federal regulations.

However, Nestle's own review of this product shows that the content of calcium and phosphorus both meet the minimum levels required. Nestle China has told local media that its American counterpart is now cooperating with the FDA to find the reason for the problem.
