China AIDS Movie Wins Academy Award
A movie about AIDS orphans in Anhui has won an Academy Award for Best Documentary Short Subject.
Ruby Yang and Thomas Lennon won the Oscar for "The Blood of Yingzhou District", which was shot last year and tells the story of rural families confronting the fear and isolation brought upon by AIDS.
At the ceremony, the award winners thanked the Starr Foundation, HBO, and Zhang Ying, who let them film her work.
The duo now plan to create a series of public service announcements to make rural Chinese more aware of HIV/AIDS.

The Students in Free Enterprise team from Guangdong University of Business Studies recently won the SIFE China South Regional Competition in Hong Kong. Thomas Nelson, managing director of VF Asia, issued the trophy to the winning students.
