Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu has announced a new clean water initiative with the Safe Water Network to help areas in China and other countries.

The initiative, announced at the Annual Meeting of the World Economic Forum in Davos this year, aims to empower communities through the delivery of small-scale, community-based distributed water filtration technology solutions to provide clean drinking water in six geographies over 12 months. The six geographies include China, India, Bangladesh, Central Asia, Sub-Saharan Africa, and Latin America.

Deloitte CEO William G. Parrett is on the board of Committee Encouraging Corporate Philanthropy and the Safe Water Network. Safe Water Network is an organization started by board members of the CECP. Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu is also a founding member of the United Nations Global Compact.
