IBM Initiates Green Innovation Program In China
IBM has announced plans to initiate a "Green Innovation Project" for the purpose of helping Chinese enterprises increase their efficiency in utilizing energy in their data centers.
IBM plans to spend US$1 billion each year on the project, which will assist Chinese enterprises to transform their infrastructure through technology and service innovation and reduce energy consumption while reinforcing computer capacities.
IBM will provide five kinds of services to Chinese firms, including evaluating energy consumption at their data center, modularizing data centers, storage and refrigeration solutions, airflow analysis and wiring optimization, and environmentally-friendly smart building services.
