Entrepreneur Confidence Index Grew In Q2
According to the results of a nationwide survey on 19,500 types of different enterprises conducted by the National Bureau of Statistics of China, the entrepreneur confidence index gained 143.1 points in the second quarter, which was higher than the first quarter and the same period of last year.
49.8 percent of the entrepreneurs were optimistic about the overall operations of their respective companies, and 43.5 percent of them saw little change, which indicated that many entrepreneurs had good prospects and confidence on the macro-economic development at the current time and in the future.
The ECIs of many industries kept increasing in the second quarter. ECIs for electric power, gas and water production and supply, transportation, storage and postal industry, wholesale and retail trade, real estate, social services, lodging and catering were 143.6, 138.5, 145.9, 145.5, 136.8 and 135.4, respectively.
The ECIs of large, medium and small sized enterprises kept steady growth to 160.6, 134.5 and 123.7, respectively. Comparing with the first quarter, ECIs of the large and medium enterprises increased, while that of the small sized enterprises remained at the same general level.
