Beijing Will Publish Radiation Monitoring Results
Beijing has completed the debugging of the eight radiation environmental automatic monitoring stations previously installed and has put them into trial operation.
This is the first time that a radiation automatic monitor system has been installed in China. A representative from the Beijing Municipal Environment Protection Bureau has told local media that it will publish the monitoring results periodically as the conditions mature.
This new system is important to improve the city's automatic monitoring of radiation in the environment, strengthen the supervision of radiation pollution and safeguard radiation environmental safety. The locations of the eight radiation environmental automatic monitoring stations have not been released, though they are said to have been installed in regions that can best cover the city. Previous data released by local media shows that Beijing's radiation levels maintained normal levels and have not changed in recent years.
