Shanghai Municipal Quality Supervision Department has published the names of 26 companies that have failed to rectify their businesses within given deadlines and said that if these companies still can't meet the quality standards after the publicity, they will be asked to stop their business for further cleansing.

The concerned companies are said to be engaged in the clothing, home appliance, eyeware and stone materials sectors. They reportedly failed to meet the quality standards in a spot check conducted by SMQSD for the first half of this year.

The companies whose names have been publicized include Shanghai Baha Trappings Company, Shanghai Baobei Electrical Appliance Company, Shanghai Kaichao Electrical Appliance Company, Shanghai Boer Optics Glasses Company, Shanghai Chifei Electrical Company, and Shanghai Tiebo Jointing Equipment Company.
