Ministry Of Public Security Issues Anti-Corruption Order
The Fire Department of the Ministry Of Public Security of China has issued a circular on the implementation of a new order among the fire fighting companies across China.
The new order, which is called "Four Restrictions for the Fire Fighting Army of the Public Security", calls on the building of an incorruptible fire fighting sector, and in particular, it mentions the notion of sexual bribery for the first time in the anti-corruption construct.
The four restrictions include: forbidding the obtaining of improper benefits by taking advantage of one's power in fire fighting supervision, inspection or fire accident investigation; forbidding fire fighting cadres and their spouses and children to run fire fighting companies, undertake fire fighting projects or sell fire fighting goods; forbidding bribery during fire project construction, outsourcing or property distribution; and prohibiting bribery during cadre appointments, personnel transfers, officer selection or enrollment.
The order says that violators of the above rules shall be punished by recording their misconduct in their personal data records or given even more severe punishment based on the degree of their violation, and their relevant leaders will also be given punishment.
