MCA Punishes 18 Social Entities
China's Ministry of Civil Affairs has imposed a range of punishments, including warnings, business cessation and license cancellations on 18 social entities.
These organizations are said to not have participated in the annual inspection or were inspected and then shown to be unqualified.
The 18 parties that received a warning include China Qin Character Study Association; Chinese Ancient Capital Society; China Yan'an Luyi Alumni Association; China Peking Opera Cheng Style Art Research Association; China Meilanfang Culture and Art Research Association; China Folk Music Research Association; Chinese Ancient Timbal Art Research Association; China Yan'an Shaanbei Gongxue Huabei United University Alumni; China Archaeology Association; China Medical Enterprise Development Promotion Association; and the China Rural Labor Resource Development Research Association.
The Chinese Minority Writers' Association; China Light Industry Historiography Academy; China Medical Materials Association; and China Electronics Industry Safety and Sanitation Association have each been asked to stop their activities for six months to remedy problems.
China Shenjian Literature and Art Academy and China Packaging, Upholstering and Printing Industry Association have had their licenses revoked.
