SPB: Liquids Can Not Be Mailed During Beijing Olympic Games
The State Post Bureau of China has issued a circular, asking all the post offices across the country not to mail any liquids during the upcoming Beijing Olympic Games.
A representative from Shenyang Postal Bureau says this is a national ban, so the post offices must not mail any liquid chemical products for consumers via any means, including express mail or packages. However, as there are large quantities of such products to be mailed every day, the ban may affect people's daily lives, so the ban is expected to be lifted after the Olympic Games.
To ensure the safety of the mailed goods, post offices will open each of a consumers' packages before mailing. In addition, they will conduct a spot check before the package is mailed out.
