China Southern Spends RMB510 Million To Create Flight Training Center
China Southern Airlines has announced plans to set up a flight training base to solve the aviation industry's labor disputes caused by a shortage of pilots.
China Southern's flight training base will be the first of its kind in China in that it owns special planes and airports for practice as well as a management department. According to a representative from China Southern, the base will be used to mainly train pilot's skills in stable take-offs and landings, and different from other training programs that use mock planes, the base will make a purchase of civil aviation used airplanes.
Located at Nanyang Airport, China Southern plans to invest a total of RMB510 million in improving the hardware facilities of Nanyang Airport. China Southern says that the base will offer various trainings to pilots of all the plane types under B777 after its completion and it may also undertake mock training and pilot training for other airline companies from both home and abroad.
