Boeing, Shenzhen Airlines Launch Relief Flight For Sichuan Earthquake Victims
Boeing and Shenzhen Airlines launched a "Flight of Hope" on May 24 to deliver supplies to China's earthquake area.
This is the first time that the two companies have joined hands in launching "Flight of Hope" to deliver supplies provided by American charities to China's earthquake area. Nearly three tons of medical supplies were carried to China on a new Boeing 737-800 airplane that Shenzhen Airlines just received.
Boeing donated RMB1.75 million to China through the American Red Cross Society the day after May 12 earthquake. So far, it has made a total donation of RMB5.25 million. The company has also pledged to match contributions made by its employees and retirees through June 12, 2008.

Christophe Lajus, the general manager of Crowne Plaza Fudan Shanghai, and members of the hotel management team visited Yangpu Social Welfare Institution to celebrate the Mid-autumn Festival together with the senior citizens resident there. A gift of homemade mooncakes was presented to the senior citizens on behalf of the hotel.
