Guangdong Promotes Use Of Subsidized Energy Saving Lamps
According to the Economic & Trade Commission of Guangdong Province, three million energy saving bulbs have been made with financial subsidies and will be sold in markets at the price of CNY3.65, which is only one-fifth of the average price.
These energy saving bulbs are sold to communities or administrative villages, but not to individuals. Organizations such as hospitals and schools only have to pay 70% of the original price.
Bi Zhijian, deputy director of ETCGD, says another 4,600 energy saving bulbs have been arranged to be distributed to 2,000 single-parent families and 2,600 rural families during the Energy Saving Week starting June 16.
