Shenzhen Lvjing Sets Up Charity Foundation
Lvjing Group has set up a charity foundation which is also the first one by a private real estate enterprise in Shenzhen, and plans to donate CNY15 million for public welfare undertakings in the quake and poverty-stricken areas.
Lvjing Group says that it has been committed to charities in China since its establishment, and has donated for Guangdong, Sichuan and Guizhou on social education, road construction, public health, medial treatment and poverty alleviation. In December 2007, Chairman of Lvjing Group was awarded "Guangdong Charity Award" by the Guangdong Provincial Department of Civil Affairs.
After the May 12 earthquake, Lvjing Group has donated to earthquake-stricken areas in Sichuan and Gansu provinces, and has sent quake relief team to Longnan city of Gansu. Now planning of reconstruction projects in Wenxian county of Gansu province aided by the group has been approved by local government, and will start to work soon.
