China Mobile, along with China's Central Youth League, has launched a special program in Beijing in support of rural youth centers.

China Mobile will invest more than RMB40 million into this program.

The program is called Rural Youth Center China Mobile Support Plan and will focus on seven aspects of work in 2006. This includes building 110 nationwide sites, recruiting 100 volunteers for each youth center, donating funds to construct 1000 information service centers, organizing 100 film shows, training 10000 young leaders and developing 1 million members to carry out social welfare activities.

Zhou Qiang from the Central Youth League says that this program is aimed at guiding young people in the countryside to actively participate in the construction of their communities.

At present, there are 4103 Rural Youth Centers in China, with a total of 1 million active members.
