Guangdong-based milk powder producer Yashili Group has announced a recall of its milk powder.

Yashili says it is currently in the process of confirming with the State Administration for Industry and Commerce on the reasons why the milk powder is unsuitable for consumption. However before the final results are disclosed, Yashili says it is best to recall the products to protect consumers.

The State Administration for Industry and Commerce has recently exposed ten brands of unqualified milk powder products. Yashili's milk powder is on the list for containing excessive amounts of iron and Vitamin B1.
