Hefei Municipal Charity Association says that from this year on they will launch a Donation Day activity in November each year in order to integrate the local charity resources.
A representative of HMCA says that donations have been organized by various organizations including the trade unions, the media and the associations in the past, which have decentralized the charity resources and make it more difficult to manage this resource.
This newly planned activity is to be carried out among business leaders and employees alike. In the activity, each business is suggested to donate one day's profit each year and each individual's one day average income during the year.
It is expected that this activity will help promote the development of local welfare projects and help instill a sense of charitable giving among participants.
