National Cosmetics Administrative Committee Formed

The National Administrative Committee of Cosmetics and Health Care Products has been formed in Guangzhou and the Committee is planning to soon issue new hygienic inspection regulations for cosmetics.
The new regulations will include more than 1200 kinds of forbidden chemicals, by referring to related laws of the European Union.
There are nearly 3000 health care product manufacturers and dealers in China, dealing in more than 7000 kinds of health care products. And there are over 3000 cosmetics companies and many of them are located in Guangdong Province.
The establishment of National Administrative Committee of Cosmetics and Health Care Products is believed to play an important role in the quality management and inspection of cosmetics, which will both benefit the manufacturers and customers.
