For the second year, Marriott Hongqiao Hotel in Shanghai is holding its Toys for Tots fundraiser. With a goal of collecting enough toys for children living at a nearby Chinese orphanage, the management and associates at the hotel have teamed up to raise awareness and organize the charitable contribution.
Jurgen Sterkau, Resident Manager of the hotel, brought the annual charity idea from his previous post in Kuala Lumpur to China. In this netcast interview, he explains the rationale behind the campaign, how it is organized in Shanghai, and the benefits to his business arising from the donation.
