I stayed in Gong Hui Bin Guan in Wuzhou in Guangxi on the 27/4/2007, checked out 28/4/2007, Room 909.

On checking out the reception told me that I had broken the toilet seat and would charge me 100rmb for it, deducting from my deposit of 300rmb. The room rate was 75rmb.

I argued that I sat on it ONLY ONCE and how could the whole seat came off so easily? I don't remember the seat coming off. If it had I would have known when I got off!! I told her that I will pay for the seat but no, she insisted the 100rmb. Since I was in a rush to catch the next bus to Yang Shou I paid but asked for a receipt.

Looking back I suspected that the fu wu yuan had something against me bacause the massage lady that night kept calling me for a massage(at least 5-6 times) until I was so sick of it I pull the cord out so that I could sleep, this is only a suspicion.

This was terrible experince for me and the first of its kind. I have been travelling around China and never has this happened to me before!!!

I talked to the taxi driver and he called to complain for me, thumbs up for that taxi driver! So far I have not received any reply from anyone.

Hope you can help, give me back my confidence of travelling hassle free in China.

I would like to lodge an official complaint about about Kee Kwan Hotel, Chang Sheng Road, Gongbei Zhuhai, China.

On November 20th, 2006, my friend and I checked into the hotel under the name of Rosnah Abd Majid and Chuah Boh Nga from malaysia. We stayed in Room 909 for one night.

On Tuesday, November 21st morning, we went out for about 10 minutes before checking out but I forgot to lock my bag while my fried locked hers. I did not check as I thought it was okay as I am a frequent traveller but first time in China. Upon returning, I found I lost a pair of shoes and a pair of jade tortoise. These two items were bought from Guangdong and is worth China dollars 170 and 100 respectively. I am so disgusted about the dishonesty of the hotel staff. I have written to the hotel via email but have not received a reply.

Although Kee Kwan is such a big organization, I don't think they are honorable. I am talking about the principles and felt that I should be compensated or a reply. Failing to do so, makes me lost trust in the Chinese people from China.

I hope you will look into this and advise me. My email is: boni.chuah@mail.doc.gov

Thank you.
