L'Oreal: Problematic Cosmetics Not Sold In China
According to China Finance Online, a survey conducted by Environmental Working Group shows that 84% of the sun cream products it tested are unqualified for consumer use, including some unspecified products from L'Oreal and Neutrogena.
In response to this result, L'Oreal China has told local media that the cosmetics solution of L'Oreal involved in EWG's investigation has not been sold in China. L'Oreal China said that all their sun cream products sold in the United States have passed relevant safety assessments and have been acknowledged by the United States Food and Drug Administration, and their sun creams in sold in China has also passed the inspection and approval of Chinese authorities.
L'Oreal's latest sun creams feature the company's patented technology Mexoryl SX and Mexoryl XL, which have been approved to be used in cosmetics by the Chinese government and provides UVA and UVB protection for cosmetics products.
