In the first half year of 2007, the average wage of on-duty staff and workers in urban areas reached RMB10,990, a year-on-year increase of 18.5 percent, according to the National Bureau of Statistics of China.
The average wages of state-owned units was RMB11,790, up by 20.4 percent; that of collective-owned units was RMB6,552, rising by 17.7 percent; and that of others was RMB10,581, an increase of 15.5 percent.
According to NBS' results of a nationwide sampling survey on 59,000 urban households, it was indicated that per capita disposable income of urban residents reached RMB7,052 in the first half year, up by 17.6 percent over the same period last year after deducting price factors, and a real growth of 14.2 percent.
The per capita expenditure of urban residents was RMB4,830 in the first half year, up by 14.2 percent year-on-year after deducting price factors, and a real increase of 11.0 percent.
