China Huaneng Group Releases CSR Report

China Huaneng Group has formally released its annual social responsibility report, which claims to be the first ever released by one of the five major power groups in China.
According to the report, CHG will have a total capacity of more than 80 million k.w. by 2010 and its coal production capacity will reach 50 million tons at the same time. The company's affiliates pledge to maintain energy saving and environmental standards. The company also plans to reach acceptable levels among energy consumption indices and pollutant emission indices.
China Huaneng Group is a state-authorized investment entity and a trial enterprise of state-holding corporations. it manages and owns other companies, such as Huaneng International Power Development Company, Huaneng Power International, North United Power, Yunnan Huaneng Lancang River Hydropower, Huaneng Sichuan Hydropower, Huaneng Renewable Energy, Huaneng Capital Service Company, China Huaneng Hong Kong Company, Huaneng Comprehensive Industrial, Xi'an Thermal Power Research Institute Company.
