Following a donation of RMB500,000 made earlier in February, Citi China has now donated an adidtional RMB485,000 to the Red Cross Society of China in support of its disaster relief efforts following China's recent snow storms.

This latest donation is the direct result of contributions by Citi employees in Mainland China, Hong Kong and Singapore. Citi China says it matched any eligible donation made by a Citi employee in Mainland China.

"We sincerely thank Citi and its employees for their generous and timely response to the Red Cross Society of China at a time when it is so badly needed. The donations made by Citi are playing a vital role in allowing us to provide meaningful assistance to those in need in some of China's most disaster-hit areas. The action Citi has taken reflects its strong commitment to playing an active role in China as a socially responsible citizen," said Guo Changjiang, vice chairman of Red Cross Society of China.

Funds will be directed in support of rebuilding efforts in some of the mostly severly affected provinces, including Hunan, Hubei, Guizhou, Guangxi, Jiangxi and Anhui. In addition to these cash donations, Citi employees have also provided donations of clothing in different cities around China.
