Shandong Exposed 80 Batches Of Unqualified Medicines

    Shandong Provincial Food and Drug Administration has published the latest report on medicine quality and 80 batches of unqualified medicines have been exposed.

    SPFDA carried out a spot check on 1367 batches of medicines made by enterprises in the province in the fourth quarter of last year. It turned out that 80 batches of medicines were unqualified, accounting for 5.85% of the total.

    The unqualified medicines include Ginkgo Leaf Capsule made by Shandong Baicao Pharmaceutical Co.,Ltd; White Paeony Root made by Liyi Kangyu TCM Tablet Co., Ltd; Banxia, Ricepaperplant Pith and Fructus Canariimade by Shandong Kongfu Pharmaceutical Healthcare Co., Ltd.; Cefixime Tablets made by Hunan Fangsheng Pharmaceutical Company; Inosine Injection made by Zhengzhou Zhuofeng Pharmaceutical Factory; Wei C Yinqiao Pian made by Mianyang Tiandakang Pharmaceutical Cojmpany; Xiangdan Zhusheye made by Jiangsu Kangbao Pharmaceutical Company; Metamizole Sodium Injection made by Tushan Pharmaceutical Factory; Paracetamol, Caffein, Artificial Cow-bezoar and Chlorphenamine Maleate Capsules made by Shandong Taishan Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd; Calamine Lotion made by Shandong Skin And Sex Disease Prevention Research Institute; and Ganoderma Kidney Care Capsule made by Jining TCM Hospital.

    SPFDA said it would punish the manufacturers of the concerned medicines and continue to monitor their activities.
