Fifteen Infectious Diseases Included In China's Immunity Plan

Mao Qun'an, spokesperson from China's Ministry of Health, said at a press conference that China would include 15 kinds of infectious diseases into its national immunity plan.
In addition to the current vaccines of Hepatitis B, Bacille Calmette-Guerin, Tephromyelitis, Diphtheria, Tetanus and Pertussis Combined vaccine, Measles vaccine and DT vaccine, China will add Hepatitis A vaccine, Meningococcal vaccine, Japanese encephalitis vaccine, and Measles and Mumps vaccine into its national immunity plan and provide injections to children of the appropriate age. In addition, China will provide injections of Haemorrhagic Fever vaccine, Anthrax vaccine, Mumps vaccine and Gouti vaccine to targeted people of the targeted areas where the relevant epidemics occur.
According to Mao, the goal of China's immunity measure is to fully implement and expand the country's immunity plan, eliminate measles, control hepatitis B and further lower the epidemic rates of other maladies.
Ministry of Health has asked the health department of all levels to make the implementation of the national immunity plan one of their important tasks and take concrete measures to carry it out.
