China Southern Airlines has published its social responsibility report 2007, one of the first CSR reports from China's aviation industry.
A representative from China Southern says that the release of the CSR report reflects that China Southern has fulfilled its social responsibility as a state-owned holding company. As the largest airline company in China, China Southern has been working to create a core value of safe, responsible, credible and harmonious work processes and has tried to integrate social responsibility into its development strategy.
Since 2007, China Southern has been enhancing its efforts in providing a safer, more comfortable and considerate service to consumers. It has also donated funds in support of China's education and offered help to people suffering from disasters, in addition to improving the welfare for its employees and contributing to the construction of an environmentally-friendly society.
In the report, China Southern also releases its environment policies and commitment to green flying, oil saving, waste disposal, noise control, building energy-saving and Green Olympics. The company says it is willing to receive supervision from the public in the implementation of energy saving, environmental protection and safe flying.
