Aluminum Corporation of China Limited, a joint stock limited company in China, has published its Corporate Social Responsibility Report 2007, which is the third annual CSR report published by the company.
CHALCO's 2007 report outlines the company's citizenship responsibilities, economic responsibilities, quality responsibilities, environmental responsibilities, innovation responsibilities, safety responsibilities, internal responsibilities and public welfare responsibilities. The report says that the company did well in achieving fast business development while fulfilling its various social responsibilities in 2007.
The company was listed on the New York Stock Exchange and the Hong Kong Stock Exchange on December 11 and 12, 2001, respectively, and China Cinda Asset Management Corporation, China Orient Asset Management Corporation, China Development Bank and China Construction Bank are holders of the domestic shares of the company.
With a registered capital of RMB11.049 billion, CHALCO owns 10 branches, one research institute, and 12 subsidiaries. The company says it has passed the accreditation of ISO 9000, ISO 14000 and OHSAS 18001.
