Omron Donates To Olympic Park Construction

As one of the multinational donors, Omron China has participated in a charity initiative held at Beijing's Olympic Forest Park to support the ever-glorious Beijing Olympic Games.
The donation was arranged in support of the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games. All the proceeds will go to Beijing Olympic Park's green planting initiatives. Sixteen companies, including Omron and Hyundai Motor, donated a total of RMB1.05 million, which will be used for tree planting, road construction and maintenance of the Olympic Park.
Sports and health are the main focuses of the company's corporate social responsibility practice. Since 1996, Omron has been sponsoring Dalian International Marathon and it has sponsored Shanghai Senior Citizen Walk event for five years since 2004. In addition, it has also supported a number of other sporting events like Good Luck Beijing.
