To help smokers successfully quit smoking, Yunnan Province will set up an outpatient program for smoking cessation.
The outpatient program will be launched around May 31, the World No-Tobacco Day, and it will provide free services to all citizens who want to get rid of the bad habit of smoking.
Since May 1, China's smoking cessation competition, which is co-organized by China's Ministry of Health and National Patriotic Health Office, has been doing lots of promotions in Yunnan. Smokers from 16 cities across the province, ranging from 18 to 90 in age, have registered for the competition through various channels. As the deadline for the registration in the competition is May 31, the organizing committee in Yunnan now reminds citizens to quickly register by calling 0871-5319639 if they want to join the competition.
Yunnan is home to a vibrant tobacco industry, so the ability to rid nicotine stains from the fingers of Yunnan residents is seen as a great task.
