Enterprises with pollutant emissions exceeding national or local standards will be exposed to the public, according to the Henan Provincial Environmental Protection Bureau.
Information that will be made public includes company name, address, legal representative, name of major pollutants, emission methods, emission concentration, total emissions, construction and operation of environmental facilities, and contingency planning for pollution. Those that haven't announced this information to the public will be fined up to CNY100,000 by the relevant environmental department.
Environmental information on 17 aspects is now available on the Henan Provincial Environmental Protection Bureau website. The disclosure will enable the whole society to supervise illegal affairs, and help to protect the environment, according to an official of HPEPB.
