ASUS Will Donate Fifteen Libraries To Schools In Chongqing

ASUSTeK Computer Inc, the Taiwan IT company has reached an agreement with Chongqing Information Industry Bureau on its overall IT infrastructure pilot project.

According to the agreement, ASUS will build an authorized desktop computer OEM base in Chongqing, and also a southwest China technological support services center. In addition, ASUS will build 15 popular science libraries in 15 schools. All those are parts of the "Highlights on Taiwan Business — Chongqing IT Special Initiative".

ASUS and Chongqing have cooperated for many years, and ASUS has been supporting the development of IT and education in Chongqing. To help college students improve their employment abilities, ASUS has been continually recruiting in Chongqing's universities and colleges for eight years.

When referring to this cooperation the brand director of ASUSTeK Computer China business department Zheng Wei used "Gung Ho" to describe the vision for the two parties: "To ASUS, the pursuit of 'Gung Ho' is to encourage the staff to offer best products and service; to the whole IT industry of China, 'Gung Ho' can improve strengths and competitiveness of China's IT industry. I hope that the cooperation between ASUS and the Chongqing Municipal Government will not only promote the development of Chongqing, but also contribute to China's IT industry."
