Subaru of China has donated CNY484,000 to China Youth Development Foundation for the library construction and teachers training of Project Hope in earthquake-stricken areas in Sichuan Province.
The CNY484,000 will mainly go to the following areas: 5,000 volumes of books for the five Subaru Project Hope Libraries in Subaru Hope Primary Schools; training for psychological counseling teachers to help children in disaster areas; and training for teachers in depressed areas in western and central China including Sichuan to improve education in these areas.
This is the follow-up assistance for the three hope schools Subaru of China has donated before. Implementation plan for those projects is under way, and is expected to be carried out when the school opens in September.
