Huawei Technologies, a well-known Chinese telecom company, has been accused of illegally employing a large number of Chinese workers in India without proper work permits and not paying income tax to the Indian Government.
According to Sina.com, the Indian Ministry of Labor and Employment stated in a notice to Huawei that the company has employed Chinese workers in India without proper work permits and beyond permissible limits.
The Ministry also claims these Chinese workers are not paying income tax and describes this as fraud.
It is also reported that once a company breaks the Indian labor laws, the company management including its CEO could be punished financially or put into jail, and the company might be closed by the Indian Government.
