A volunteer initiative from Aegon-CNOOC Life Insurance was launched at the completion ceremony of the first Aegon-CNOOC Bo Ai clinic located at Fuyu village in Guizhou province.
The health station is the result of the cooperation between Aegon-Cnooc and the Red Cross Angel program of the Chinese Red Cross Foundation. Aegon-CNOOC has plans to build 11 clinics in Guizhou, Beijing, Shandong, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, and Hunan; the one in Guizhou is the first to be completed.
The volunteer initiative will be a long and continuous one — currently it focuses on clinics. Volunteers from the company will hold health talks, assist professional doctors to conduct free medical treatment and also aid local education. Aegon-CNOOC will do everything possible to support the volunteer initiative, stated Lin Yaocan, the vice general manager of the company who is in charge of this program.
