M.A.C. AIDS Fund Comes To Chongqing
The M.A.C. AIDS Fund has initiated an anti-AIDS campaign in Beibei District, Chongqing.
Officials from the United Nations Children's Fund and Ambassadors of Love shared knowledge about AIDS with teenagers who work in Chongqing.
By the end of 2007, the number of HIV-infected people in Beibei District has reached 238 since the first case was detected in 1999. As most teenagers know little about AIDS — especially migrant workers, minorities, and school dropouts — they don't know how to protect themselves. M.A.C AIDS Fund is committed to supporting the global initiative "Unite For Children, Unite Against AIDS". China has launched this initiative in 2006.
